Mäkoha Beach House - Kapiti Coast Beachfront Accommodation
The Kapiti Coast is the perfect place to escape the city and relax. For adventure seekers there is kayaking (two sea kayaks available for use on site), gliding from the Wellington Gliding Club at the nearby Paraparaumu Beach Airport, 4 wheel ATV riding at Four x 4 Adventure where you can explore 18,000 hectares of nature's paradise and river rafting at the Otaki River Gorge. For those looking for a more relaxed method of enjoying the outdoors, there are numerous coastal and nature walks and horse back riding.
For gourmet lovers, Kapiti is home to Ruth Pretty Cooking School attracting international guest chefs and students from all over the world. The Lindale Centre has gourmet shops including the award-winning Kapiti Cheese and Ice Cream and Kapiti Olives, and a number of other shops and galleries. Lindale Centre also includes a farm show, farm walks and display daily.
For classic car enthusiasts the Southward Car Museum has a selection of vehicles from one of the largest and most comprehensive privately owned collections of veteran and vintage cars in the Southern Hemisphere. |
